Georgia and Turkey have the opportunity to upgrade the bilateral cooperation to a new level and jointly carry out a positioning of agriculture food products to international markets, where Georgia enjoys free trade agreement opportunities, Minister of Agriculture of Georgia Levan Davitashvili noted, who met with Minister of Agriculture of Turkey Faruk Chelik.
“The Government is able to provide active support to business sector. We are ready to implement joint projects in agrarian direction. Involvement of state institutions in regulating organizational issues will bring more benefits”, Levan Davitashvili noted.
Cooperation with Georgia is important is such directions as meat exports to Turkey, filbert production and seedling farms. Both countries should ensure maximally comfortable environment to make agrarian sector more profitable, Faruk Chalik said.
“Over the past period political relations of our countries enable to boost trade-economic relations to maximally use the potential in agriculture sector”, Faruk Fchalik said.
