Georgia Reaps the benefits of $20 million USD

According to the data provided by National Wine Agency, in the first two month of 2016 Georgia exported 4,531,556 bottles of wine to 21 countries, which generated $10.75 million USD income for Georgia.

Wine exports and brandy to markets all over the world increased the total revenues significantly in Georgia and overall export revenues for the reporting period amounted to 20 million US dollars.

Total exported wines amounts to 10,75 million US dollars, meaning that Georgian economy received 27 percent more financial inflow as a result of more Georgian alcoholic beverages exported abroad.

In addition, 1 431 7 868 bottles of Georgian Wine brands are exported in 7 different countries, which is 165% higher than the same period of 2015.

The first top five exporting countries looks in such way:

  • Russia – 2 559 795,
  • Ukraine – 792 -651,
  • Kazakhstan – 337 582,
  • Poland – 322 038 and
  • China – 219 349 bottles.
