Georgia is Like Person Who Suffered Heart Attack– Heart Beats, but It is Not Enough

Aiet Kukava, director of Alliance Group Holding talks about the necessity of developing a stock exchange in Georgia. It is very difficult to draw foreign investments without valuable stock exchange, Kukava told Business Course.

“We have many potential investors, including companies with 400bln capital and more. They can make investments in Georgian companies by making a phone call and we need liquidity in this case – if they put money in Georgian companies, they should be also able to withdraw. This is impossible without developing a stock exchange. Today Georgia looks like an infarcted person, whose hear beats, but this does not suffice.
Thanks to stock exchange thousands of companies will be able to draw resources without commercial banks and this is the best way to draw foreign investments, Aiet Kukava said and added that the country fails to develop stock exchange because of unqualified policy.
