Georgia to Get 50 Million EUR Within the frame of ENPARD 2 Phase

The EU is ready to be actively engaged in the information campaign of issues related to Association Agreement signed with Georgia.

The EU Ambassador Janos Herman has declared about it at the meeting with Otar Danelia, and  presented Christina Kassel, new Attaché of Agriculture from the European Union Delegation.

Priority issues of agricultural field, Ministry’s programs, strategy of Agriculture Ministry through  2015-2020 and fulfillment of commitments, taken under DCFTA’s were discussed at the meeting.

“52 million EUR has been allocated by the EU within the frame of ENPARD 1, the sum was spent on development of agriculture branch. The obligations were fulfilled with state efforts and active collaboration with partner organizations, which had been followed by ENPARD 2 phase, it envisages contribution of additional 50 million EUR to the branch. I want to thank representatives of the EU in Georgia and governments of the member countries”, – Otar Danelia has declared at the meeting.

The EU Ambassador noted, that the EU supports the gradual development of agriculture in Georgia.
