Georgia finished 2015 with a foreign debt of 4,3 billion USD (10,3 billion GEL).
To note, 99% of the mentioned sum is a state debt, which volume totals to 4,314 billion USD as of December 31, 2015, at that the country owns 3,295 million of multiple creditors.
Debt of National Bank of Georgia has made up 19,4 million USD late in the previous year, NBG owns a debt of International Monetary Fund.
It should be noted, that Georgia’s foreign debt is grown by 95,24 million USD in the last month of the year, while NBG’s – by 190 thousand.
However, the volume of Georgia’s foreign debt is increased by 115 million through the last year. As of December 31, 2014, Georgia owned 4,199 billion USD (7,82 billion GEL) of foreign creditors. Debt volume increase is conditioned due to GEL devaluation.
