The joint committee under the Azerbaijan – Georgia Eastern Partnership Territorial Cooperation Programme (EaPTC) met on 10 April in Tbilisi to discuss the evaluation results of a call for proposals launched by the EU in 2015.
High-level government officials from Georgia and Azerbaijan and representatives of the EaPTC managing authority and the EU Delegation to Georgia took part in the meeting. Priority was given to proposals aimed at developing cross-border synergies in agriculture, tourism and environmental issues, including preparation for emergencies.
The focus of the Azerbaijan – Georgia call for proposals is on enhancing social inclusion through measures in the areas of culture, education and sports, as well as facilitating cooperation between bordering regions.
The total budget planned under the call is EUR 1.35 million.
