George Welton, CEO of the American Chamber of Commerce in Georgia, positively appraises the profits tax reformation initiative and expects this legislative bill to encourage reinvestments, create new job places and intensify economic development.
The tax administration will be also simplified as part of the reform, he added.
“This initiative will expose Georgia is an investor-friendly country to the whole world and this initiative will precondition growth in FDI inflows to the country”, George Welton said.
Mr. Welton also positively appraised the Finance Ministry’s efficient and useful cooperation with business association. The Minister has demonstrated exemplar relations with the Ministry, he added.
“I also express my gratitude to the Government that has reacted to our proposals for rescheduling reforms. Based on our initiative this term was rescheduled to January 1, 2017. This is an example the Georgian Authorities respect the taxpayers’ interests. It was important for us that the business sector have enough time for planning and accepting new initiatives”, George Welton pointed out.
