Genady Arveladze: Demand on Exported Products from Georgia has Increased

Exports from Georgia keeps growing trend. Products of 1.940 billion USD were exported on the foreign markets in nine months, 28.3% more than last year.

According to Genadi Arveladze, the Deputy Minister of Economics, export of following products from the largest export groups have significantly increased: Ferro-alloys (97%), copper ores (28%), medicines (35%), grape wines (56%), alcoholic beverages (29% ), mineral and freshwater (16%).

“The annual growth of commodity export from Georgia is fixed after September, 2016. Export growth, along with the basic effect, has contributed to the tendencies in our region. Also, demand on exported products from Georgia has increased”, said Genady Arveladze.

According to him, successfully completed negotiations on free trade agreements, implemented by Georgian government, will positively reflect on diversification of Georgian export products on the mentioned markets.
