For the First Time Philippine Government Participates in Tbilisi Belt & Road Forum

Department of Budget and Management of Philippines Secretary Benjamin Diokno joins over 2000 political leaders, diplomats, experts, and representatives of international organizations and businesses from 60 countries in attending the Tbilisi Belt and Road Forum.

The biennial Event, part of topical Forum series, carries forward the tradition of Tbilisi Silk Road Forum held in 2015 which aimed to provide a platform to discuss factors which define the regional and global trade, including trade facilitation, opportunities of e-commerce and digital connectivity, transport infrastructure and energy sector.

This is the first time the Philippine Government has participated in the Tbilisi Forum, a testament to the government’s commitment to the ‘Build, Build, Build’ infrastructure program and its overall thrust for better trade, connectivity and infrastructure.
