The Minister of Finance hopes that the country’s economy will grow by more than 4% this year. The minister has set the pretension that gives the possibility to make such prediction.
According to Dimitri Komsishvili, the first six months were quite positive in terms of GDP growth and the economy grew by at least 4% m-o-m since January.
“As of 5 months, the economy has increased by 4.5% and this is a good indicator. According to agreed schedule with the IMF, the economy will grow by 3.5% in the country, but according to our internal predication the economy will grow by more than 4% and this forecast is getting true. I think that this dynamics will be maintained in the coming months and exceed 4% by the end of the year”, – Dimitri Komsishvili declared at the current economic conference within the framework of Ambassadorial 2017.
