Exports from Georgia to CIS Countries Increased by 51.3%

In January-August, 2018, exports from Georgia to CIS countries amounted to 1 025.6 million US dollars, which is 51.3 percent higher than the previous year’s index, and 47.8 percent of the country’s total exports.

Import was amounted to 1 744.9 million USD (23.7 percent more), which is 29.3 percent of total imports.

Trade turnover with CIS countries reached 2 770.6 million US dollars that’s more than 32.6 percent of the corresponding period of the previous year. As for the trade deficit, in January-August 2018, its share of the total negative trade balance was 18.9 percent.
