With the support of the European Neighborhood Programme for Agriculture and Rural development (ENPARD), the member of the programme implementing consortium and the partner of People in Need, biological farming association “ELKANA” organizes a farmer’s day.
The event is held in the scope of the EU-funded project “Enhancing Small Farmers’ Cooperation and Productivity in Imereti and Racha Regions”.
The event will take a place on 26 April 2017 at 12:00 hr, at fish farm cooperative “Kobri” in the village Argveta, Zestafoni municipality, Imereti.
The Farmer’s Day aims to demonstrate to cooperative members and other interested parties incubation process of rainbow trout at nursery. Introduce and share fish farming techniques, its characteristics and challenges, innovations and achieved results.
Representatives of Regional Information and Consultation Center of Imereti and Regional Information and Consultation Center of Racha, Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti will participate in the event.
The farmer’s day is open to all interested parties.
The project “Enhancing Small Farmers’ Cooperation and Productivity in Imereti and Racha Regions” is supported by the European Union through ENPARD programme. The project is being implemented by the People in Need in partnership with Biological Farming Association Elkana and Association of Young Economists of Georgia (AYEG).
