Energo-Pro Georgia Invests over 2 million EUR in Rehabilitating Chitakhevi HPP Aggregate

JSC Energo-Pro Georgia has successfully finished a rehabilitation and modernization of the third hydro aggregate of Chitakhevi HPP.

As a result, the facility’s working capacity has considerably increased. Rehabilitation and modernization of the facility started on December 1, 2015 and will end in January 2018.

The company has invested more than 2 million EUR in the project implementation.
As part of the project, total reconstruction of the third hydro aggregate was carried out, new cooling systems were installed, as well as a new speed regulator and a new generator, modern management and monitoring system (SCADA) and modern digital relay safeguard systems. 

JSC Energo-Pro Georgia Generation continues an implementation of rehabilitation works on other HPPs of the company to improve the facility infrastructure and ensure the power generation sustainability.
