Dimitry Kumsishvili: Economic Growth Can be 3.5%

Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Dimitry Kumsishvili made a statement that in this year economic growth might be more than 3% and it can reach 3.5%.

As Kumsishvili noted to “business contact“, economic growth is supported by increased business activity and business expectations.

“Today we see that economic growth is very good. In particular, in the regions very good economic growth is faced. We put realistic rate of 3% in our budget, but we certainly need to consider them in the optimistic possibilities, where it is possible to have 3.5% growth finally.”

This is predicted due to the activities and expectations of the business sector, which is very good.

ISET published the ratio of business expectations and the ratio is 20 point increased since the beginning of the year 2016, which means that the business is disposed to do business, create new jobs, “- said the Minister.
