The First Deputy Prime Minister of Georgia and Koba Gvenetadze, President of the National Bank of Georgia have discussed current cooperation program and its progress with Tao Zhang, Deputy Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund.
The meeting was also attended by Mercedes-Vera Martin, head of International Monetary Fund’s mission.
According to the Ministry of Finance, the meeting has underlined the program, which is implemented in cooperation with the International Monetary Fund. The program is fully based on the 4-point reform plan of the Government of Georgia.
Kumsishvili noted that this is an unprecedented fact for Georgia when the IMF fully agrees with the country’s political leadership reform program and its vision for economic policy.
The sides also discussed the main directions of future cooperation, macroeconomic parameters and future programs at the meeting.
