Deputy Executive Director of “Partnership Fund” participated in “Energy Investment Forum” held in Astana.
Natia Turnava was invited to the forum by the Asian Development Bank.
Deputy Executive Director of the “Partnership Fund” submitted presentation at the forum within the frame of the program the Central Partnership Regional Economic Cooperation Program (CAREC) and introduced experience of the Partnership Fund in attracting private investments in large energy projects.
Representatives of various international financial institutions participated in the forum. The meeting was also attended by Irakli Khmaladze, Deputy Minister of Energy. The priority task of the forum was to attract financing from the private sector in the energy projects of the region (including Georgia).
The Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation Program (CAREC) is a partnership of 11 countries (Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, People’s Republic of China, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Mongolia, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan), which contributes to the economic growth of the partner countries through joint work and cooperation and poverty decrease.
