Virtual currency mining giant BitFury opened a data center equipped with innovative 40 MW energy efficient cooling system in Tbilisi free industrial zone located in Gldani district.
The event was attended by Prime Minister, Economy and Finance Ministers, as well as representatives of diplomatic corps and the company’s officials. As the Prime Minister said, the company had invested $ 30 million with support of the Co-Investment Fund. According to him, this was BitFury’s second project in Georgia, the company produced Bitcoins in Georgia’s Eastern city Gori.
In his words, the company’s entry proves that the investment environment has greatly improved in the country. In Prime Minister’s assessment, technology development creates an additional benefit for the country. Bitcoins are a virtual currency that pays for goods or services on an online network. They are created online and stored electronically.
