Danish Government Allocates 29 800 000 Krone for Young Georgian Farmers

Government of Denmark has allocated 29 800 000 Krone for implementing the project – Modernization of Agriculture Sector, Market Access and Flexibility.

According to Nodar Kereselidze, first deputy Agriculture Minister, key objective of the grant is to encourage young farmers and involve them in agriculture activities.

The mentioned sum will be enlarged by IFAD’s financial support. The funds will be spent due to goals and procedures of AMMAR project.

27 965 000 Krone will be transmitted to Agriculture Ministry. The fund will keep 5% of total amount, while 490 000 Krone will be spent on administration and supervision costs.

The grant validity period will expire on December 31, 2019, while the closure date is the 30th of June, 2020.

Preference will be given to village residents.
