Danish Fund Allocates 5 Million USD Grant for Young Farmers

Danish Foundation “Danida” allocates 5 million USD grant to encourage young people in the agricultural field of Georgia.

In the framework of the program, it will be allocated from 15 thousand to 100 thousand small and medium-sized grants for young entrepreneurs.

As Deputy Agriculture Minister Nodar Kereselidze states at  Business Course, at this stage the Georgian side agrees to funding criteria with donor organization. According to Kereselidze, the process will last until the end of the month, after which the project will be implemented.

“This is a grant program for young farmers and today we are negotiating with other donors about other criterias, for example what fields will be covered, other than agriculture. We will consult with the donor and at the end of September and we will have the conditions and start implementation of the project by then, “- said Nodar Kereselidze
