Contract is Signed on Construction of the Hardest road Section of Tbilisi-Rustavi Highway

Contract is signed with tender winner Turkish company on construction of the 2nd road section of Tbilisi-Rustavi highway.

“Cezanne Insaat” will provide construction of 6, 4 km road section of Tbilisi-Rustavi highway, which is the most difficult section of the road. Duration of the works is 2 years; value of the contract is up to 119 million GEL. The funding will be allocated by Asian Development Bank (ADB).

Rehabilitation of 6.8 km highway with 4-6 lanes will be carried within the frame of the project. Moreover, 2 transport hubs, 2 bridges, road tunnels and the load-bearing wall will be arranged as well. Total length of three roads sections of Tbilisi-Rustavi Highway amounts to 17, 4 km. However, construction of the 1st and the 3rd sections started on April 22, 2014 and finished in May, 2016.
