With the strong and rising economy China strives for the European market to export more products and services and capital to Europe. On the way of this aspiration Georgia is shortest destination in the context of the Silk Road historical route.
This visit has also outlined bilateral interests. The issue is of the Khashuri-Samtredia highway construction. At the meeting the Chinese party expressed readiness to make specific investments in the Anaklia seaport construction, in other important projects.
The wine market expansion is also of vital importance, because the Chinese market is very attractive for the Georgian wine due to strong economy and quantity of population.
At the same time, Georgia’s relations with China contains absolutely unimportant and minimum negative aspects in terms of national interests and this is additional advantage that will make our ties with China more attractive.
