The Biltmore Hotel Tbilisi is hosting 9th International Forum of Local Economic Development (LED). The workshop opened today and will last 2 days, but working day will close tomorrow, on December 8. The event is organized by Tbilisi City Hall.
The Forum is called as Modern Approaches for Urban Development. The format unites 12 thematic sessions: Reasonable Cities, Green Cities, Drawing Funds, Electronic Management, Energy Efficiency, Investments, International Relations, Public Transport, Tourism, Eastern Partnership, Infrastructure, Art Industries.
Deputy Minister of Economy Ketevan Bochorishvili told reporters that many international experts are attending the local self-government economic development forum to share experience to each other.
The forum participants make focus on modern concepts of urban development and international experts are discussing such topics as transport, ecologically clean environment and so on.
“We are trying to jointly determine problem solution ways. Experts share their recommendations. We are also establishing new contacts for future cooperation”, Bochorishvili noted.
