Batumi City Hall to Spend GEL 250,000 on Electric Buses

According to mayor Giorgi Ermakov, Batumi City Hall, will spend approximately GEL 250,000 on electric buses. Ermakov told BusinessContact that city hall will take loan from European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

“We plan to purchase electric and Euro 5 standard diesel buses in the near future, because these buses are ecologically clean and has an improved quality. Batumi will be the first city where electric buses will operate”.

“The amount of grant is large, and we are in a process of understanding each other’s conditions, after this we will announce international tender and reveal winner, one bus costs 250 000 laris,” Ermakov said.
