Helicopters of Austrian Company Will Fly to Georgia’s Ski Resorts

The civil aviation agency of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia has approved the application by Wucher Helikopter Gmbh and licensed the Austrian airline to perform flights to ski resorts in the January to April period.

The airline has performed flights to the zones in 2013-2015 too.

During its operation in Georgia, Wucher Helikopter Gmbh will make focus on serving tourism groups. Namely, the airline will hold the so-called Heli-skiing tours in the Gudauri-Stepantsminda Zone. The service implies a delivery of alpine skiers мand snowboarders to the untraced snow zones by helicopters, as well as organization of skiing and snowboarding arrangements.

The flights will be performed by modern helicopters of AS 350 B3 Ecureuil and AS 350 B Lama classes in favorable meteorological conditions in compliance with the visual flight regulations (VFR).

The airline’s operation will foster the winter tourism development in Georgia and draw foreign tourists to the Georgian ski resorts by creating maximum comfort to them.
