Anaklia and Constanza seaports have signed a memorandum on cooperation in Brussels, Belgium.
According to Anaklia Development Consortium, the memorandum calls for strategic partnership and cooperation in arious issues, including information exchange, common action plan for transportation and identification of routes, cooperation in logistics and infrastructural projects.
Under the memorandum, Constanza will share experience to Anaklia seaport and support in its popularization. The seaports will set up joint groups for transportation corridor promotion and boosting cargo turnover.
“Signing of this cooperation memorandum is of crucial importance with such strategic partners as Constanza for coordinated and successful operation and faster development”, Anaklia Development Consortium director general Levan Akhvlediani said.
The memorandum was signed on the day dedicated to Constanza Seaport and Danube river channel. The Danube river channel integrates 20 seaports. The transport route starts at Constanza seaport, crosses 10 European countries and ends at Rotterdam seaport. After completion of construction works, Anaklia seaport will be able to serve the mentioned corridor and create new alternative for cargoes crossing the Caucasus corridor.
