The representatives of company Andritz head office together with the local branch hold ”User Day” for potential and existing Georgian customers, where experts from 10 countries and 100 guests take part in.

According to Vice President of Andritz, several thousand megawatts can be added to a country by producing renewable energy. As for Alexander Shwab, Georgia is on its way of development and is one of the leaders in the future perspective.

“Currently we have counted 3 thousand MW capacity and 80% of electricity supply is provided with hydro resources. If we look at the future of renewable energy, demand increases. Gas, fossil fuel, need to be imported.

Many opportunities are open in this direction and Georgia is on the right track. Today there are 7 projects underway in Georgia. Small and medium scale projects are in realization phase. We have a contract with “Nenskra” in terms of big project but investors are dependent on how to get this project realized. We are also working on the development of 60 small power plants, “said Vice president Alexander Shwab, Head of Market Management and Corporate Communications at Andritz.
