Airplanes Technical Maintenance Center to Open in Tbilisi

A parking shelter will be built on the territory of Tbilisi International Airport to serve any types of Boeing airplanes and Airbus A-320/330. Airplane Technics company will construct the parking shelter and invest 30 million USD in the project implementation. The company director Vincenzo Morelli told BM.GE that the parking shelter construction works will start in spring 2019 and end in 2021.

‘We will serve European countries, UAE and Russia. Initially, the parking shelter will employ 100 persons. It should be noted that Georgia lacks for due personnel and therefore, we have decided to train due personnel at our own cost. We have opened a college, where Georgian students attend international level courses. Namely, students will study EASWA part 66 theoretical course. After successful completion of the course, they will continue practical trainings in our company and finally, we will employ them:”, Vincenzo Morelli noted.

Airplane Technics was founded on July 27, 2015 in Georgia. At this stage, the company owns a test parking shelter, where Georgian and foreign companies are served, including: KUWAIT Airways, Wataniya Airways, Air Arabia, Jazeera Airways, SCAT(Kazakhstan) and so on.
