ADB: Georgia Implemented Projects of 2.3bln USD in 10 Years

At the Tbilisi Silk Road Forum Wencai Zhang, vice President of Asian Development Bank, appraised the implemented projects in Georgia and talked about achievements.

“Georgia has recorded serious achievements in terms of reforms and development, in general. I would like to congratulate Georgia on all achievements. I supervise Georgia’s economic development and enhancement of our relations. It is much honor for me to participate in this Forum. I have attended the previous forum in Georgia too. I would like to express my respect to Government of Georgia for hospitality”, the ADB vice president noted.

Starting 2016 Georgia has been playing huge role, jointly with 11 countries, which cooperate with ADB, he added.

“In 2007 Georgia joined ADB and over the past 10 years we have mobilized 2.3bln USD for implementing various projects”, Wencai Zhang noted.

As a result, Georgia has improved infrastructure and public services, developed a new vision for shaping tight cooperation in economy, tourism, transport, power system, commerce and other sectors in 2020-2030.
