In September 2016, modern, safe and convenient new buses will appear in Tbilisi.
“Almost everything is completed and the bringing of the new buses have been already resolved, but the final word should say EBRD. Thus, we are waiting for the conclusion.”
EBRD was involved in the preparation of tender documents from the beginning and will take part in this process until the end. In addition, the grant was given from the EBRD in order to purchase buses”- announced the press service of the City Hall.
It is not yet known to anyone which company will win in the tender, but as soon as EBRD-‘s position will be known, the winner company will be soon revealed.
“The winner company will bring the new buses in the city. Those new European standard buses are running on CNG – compressed natural gas.
CNG- type of fuel is environmentally friendly and at the same time, cheap. The new buses will be in full compliance with European standards “, – say in the City Hall.
According to the information obtained from the City Hall, the number of buses will be 150. The latest transports will serve in the areas, where they are mostly needed.
