From August 7 to September 7, 15 students of the Mining and Geological Faculty of Georgian Technical University passed a one-month paid practice in the enterprises belonging to RMG.
The majority of students involved in practical work are residents of Dmanisi and Bolnisi districts. The distribution of students at work sites was taken into consideration by the pre-selected programs in the university.
The future mining and geologists were distributed on three main locations. Practical training was conducted at the mining site of the quarry, the geological base and the copper-enriching factory. The students were also familiar with the full cycle of mining technology and labor safety rules.

At the end of the course, the students shared the knowledge received through practice in the framework of the informational tour. They also visited all the sections where each of them had 5-week working experience.
Joni Shutidze, executive director of RMG, handed the certificates of internship to the students.
Last year, the Memorandum signed between Georgian Technical University and RMG, consisted entrepreneurial practices.
“We have acquired a very important intellectual resource, as young practitioner are. After the completion of the higher education, students will definitely return to us as high qualified professionals and occupy the relevant positions.
The next stage of the practice program is RMG Scholar. At the end of the year, an open competition will be held at the technical university where students will be found among the successful students, “said Irakli Shatakishvili, Head of Human Resources Development Department of RMG.
