We consider that Georgian wine industry will give new development impetus to rural Georgia, – Prime Minister noted in his conversation with the journalists after the presentation of alcoholic beverages plant of „BOLERO & COMPANY, LTD” and “GRUZVINPROM, LTD” in Gurjaani.
Pursuant to the Prime Minister, privatization of the largest enterprise is an important event. The government has also allocated funds for the diversification of markets. This will increase the number of wealthy households and provide additional income to the families affiliated with the factory as well as those living in Kakheti and throughout Georgia.
“During the last 3 years 6 thousand hectares of vineyards have been planted, wine industry has produced more than 400 million GEL for the Georgian families. This is a strategic direction. We will work hard.
We have already allocated relevant resources to diversify the export directions for Georgian wine. Entering new markets will be the prerequisite of development of Georgia in that regard. Establishment of the factory is a wonderful fact and a precondition for a new success,” – Prime Minister noted.
One of the questions posed to the head of the government concerned the allegations expressed by the General Director of Rustavi 2 Nika Gvaramia.
“I would respond to him, if he were a man”, – Giorgi Kvirikashvili answered and noted that he will not make a comment on this topic.
