Georgian Wine Export Declined by 47 Percent

36,07 million bottles (0,75 l) wine, cost of 98,1 million USD, are exported in 46 countries through 2015 (2014 – $185 million).

Despite the sales decline of 47% (y-o-y), the industry positively estimates 2015 at the background of current challenges and exporting markets.

Export is grown with the EU countries, Poland – 3% y-o-y (1,6 million); Lituanie – 4% y-o-y (658 666); Estonie 0 54% y-o-y (506 124); Netherland – 58% y-o-y(51 432); France – 190% y-o-y (37 956); Dania – 100% y-o-y (34 840).

Chinese market is sharply growing (122% y-o-y), 2,7 million bottles are exported and ranks as the 4th after Russia, Kazakhstan and Ukraine.
