The first vice-premier Dimitri Kumsishvili opened a new factory called “Tissue Paper” to recycle waste paper and cellulose. “Tissue Paper” produces hygienic paper for the market.
Kumsishvili positively evaluated the fact that a new factory is environment friendly and they recycle the waste paper. He declared that it is important that the production aims to replace the import. Nowadays, “Tissue Paper” is aimed to satisfy 30% of the demand for hygienic paper at the local market but it is planned to double the index.
There are 85 people employed at the factory at the moment. It has a potential of employing up to 100 people and produce 170 000 kg hygienic papers. In the future, the company is planning to increase the assortment and export to Armenia and Azerbaijan.
The cost of project investment amounts to 11 560 000 GEL.
