Turkey has decided to expand furniture exports to compensate a contraction of sales on Turkish domestic market.
deputy director Junet Iankchioglu, deputy director of MOBSAD, association of furniture manufacturers of Turkey, noted that Turkey exports 50mln USD hotel furniture to Georgia a year.
In 2016 furniture sales declined on Turkey because of tourism sector crisis. Therefore, Turkey has decided to considerably increase furniture supply to Georgia, he said.
“This year we increased furniture exports to Georgia by 30%, up to 65mln USD”, Iankcioghlu said.
