LLC Sakartvelos Taiguli (Bunch of Georgia) is constructing a tea-processing plant in village Dvabzu, Ozurgeti Municipality. Guria Governor Gia Salukvadze visited the construction process on February 14.
“I would like to express gratitude to Ministry of Agriculture for such active involvement, as well as to director of LLC Sakartvelos Taiguli, which is an evident sample of tight cooperation between Government and private sector. Tea is one of the key priorities for our region and its revival is carried out at high paces”, Gia Salukvadze noted.
The company director Ilia Basilashvili noted that the project for Co-Financing of Processing Enterprises and Storehouses, proposed by Ministry of Agriculture, as well as cheap loans and grants will help them in constructing the enterprise. The company will buy machineries and it will be put into exploitation in May 2017.
“I am happy that Georgian tea revival is being carried out under governance of the ruling Authorities. Tea plantations will be restored in villages and local residents will be employed. We plan to export our products to European market too”, Ilia Basilashvili said.
