Second-hand Clothes Business Loses Customers in Georgia

Representatives of the second-hand clothes business  talk about  a sharp decline in demand for the products.

In particular, the founder of the chain of stores notes that the number of buyers has been  reducing  in recent years due to the general economic situation in the country.

“State of our  business is getting worse every year. This year the number of customers decreased compared to last year,” he explains.

Most second-hand shops in Tbilisi buy products from importers. According to Director of the importing company, sales have fallen sharply recently due to the general situation in the country.

“Now everyone is thinking about the survival and people have no extra money to buy  the clothes. People cannot afford new clothes and wear old, “- the importer explains.
