The Georgian branch of leading American hospitability chain Radisson Blu now holds the title of Georgia’s leading business hotel.
The World Travel Awards recognised the success of the Radisson Blu Iveria in Georgia’s capital Tbilisi with the prestigious award, and also honoured its second hotel in the Black Sea resort town Batumi.
The Radisson Blu Batumi won a separate award and was named Georgia’s leading hotel – after beating out other nominees Georgia Palace Hotel, Radisson Blu Iveria Hotel Tbilisi, Rixos Borjomi and Sheraton Metechi Palace Tbilisi.
The awards ceremony was held on Sunday, September 6, on Sardinia Island – the second largest island in the Mediterranean Sea. The awards ceremony was held at the Forte Village Resort.
The manager of RadissonBluIveria John Losasso attended the official event and returned back to Tbilisi with the coveted awards.
He was proud to receive the awards on behalf of Radisson Blu, and said they were very special “especially when there is a rise and competition between top hotels in Tbilisi”.
The World Travel Awards was established in 1993 to acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence across all sectors of the tourism industry.
Their ceremonies are regarded as the highlight events in the tourism sphere, attended by key decision makers, respected judges, chief figure heads and leading media.
