Number of Meidan Bazaar Users Decreased 60-70%

The number of users in the historical and shopping center Meidan bazaar created by New Way company has decreased by 60-70%.

Mikheil Kobiashvili, Director of the trade center, explains a  lack of tourists by a hot  summer season and anomalous heat when tourists  prefer to rest in Adjara. He also suggests that Russia – Ukraine conflict and Tbilisi flood also had an impact. Kobiashvili notes that for the time being Meidan bazaar is vsisted mostly  by Azeri tourists.

“Azerbaijanis are active, they know that there are cheaper and rolling, mostly buying household goods. Russia does not actually come” -said Kobiashvili. The historical – shopping center Meidan bazaar created by the company New Way opened on June 28.

The historical and  shopping center is located on the  Gorgasal Square, in the underpass where  the exhibition – sale of Georgian products – wine, industry, national merchandise, museum copies, gift items, Georgian garment, enamel, ceramic and antique furniture are held. The Georgian wine, cheese and other national products tasting room are  located in the  underpass as well.
