A great number of companies move to licensed software of Microsoft painlessly, Microsoft Georgia director general Nikoloz Doborjginidze told Business Course.
Number of pirated software declines year to year in Georgia, he said. This tendency is proved by the research, under which in 2016 level of unlicensed software declined to 84% from 92%. The ratio continues decreasing, because the licensing process proceeds dynamically, Doborjginidze noted.
In 2016, upon announcement of plans that private and public sectors were to move to licensed software, business sector protested against Microsoft prices. Therefore, Microsoft has offered installment payment schemes to Georgian companies.
