The Majority of Cars in Georgia are Outdated

In Georgia 91% of cars are produced until 2006.

The amount of vehicles in Georgia is increasing every year. According to the Analytical Department of Ministry of Internal Affairs, the growth rate amounted to 8.23% in 2015.

The majority of cars (91%) are produced until 2006. The cars produced 3 years ago, makes up only 1.4% of total vehicles. Additionally, the share of cars older than 20 years amounts 45% and the number of them counts 501539 units.

The share of cars aged from 10 to 20 years also keeps 45% of the total vehicles.

The share of the 7-10-year-old vehicles is 5.6%, while 4-6 years old ones is 2.1 percent.

Also 38% of the registered vehicles come to Tbilisi, 13% go to Imereti and Racha-Lechkhumi, while 9% is directed to Kvemo Kartli. Herewith 8.2% go to Kakheti, as well as 8 percent go to Adjara.
