Economic expert Levan Kalandadze has been appointed as an assistant to Business Ombudsman. Levan Kalandze has worked in nongovernmental sector for many years.
In various years he has worked as deputy chairman of Georgian Tax Department, first deputy chairman of Georgian State Supervisory Service, deputy head of Tbilisi Bureau of Georgia Antitrust Service and state counselor on social reforms at the Government’s Office.
Before the current appointment, Levan Kalandadze has led Georgian Infrastructural Projects Initiative. He gives lectures in public finances at International Black Sea University (IBSU). He has also worked as an executive director for Georgian Small and Medium Enterprises Association (GSMEA). Moreover, in various periods he has worked as an analyst for Georgian Public Broadcaster and GDS TV companies.
Levan Kalandadze has taken part in various projects, including: agriculture projects by Mercy Corps (bsuiness consultant); Netherlands Institute for Multiparty Democracy (NIMD) (economic consultant); domestic expert for Georgian Insurance Institute (SIDA/Eurasia Foundation) project for public social finances.
Levan Kalandadze is also one of the founders of Georgian Business Chamber, Georgian Small and Medium Enterprises Association, Georgian Infrastructure Projects Initiative, Georgian Insurance Institute and Association of Young Financiers and Businessmen.
