On February 8 HeidelbergCement will hold a ceremony for opening a new clinker production line and full modernization of Kaspi cement plant.
Prime Minister of Georgia Mamuka Bakhtade, Minister of Economy Giorgi Kobulia, the executive director of the board of directors of HeidelbergCement Group, Giorgi Bachiashvili, executive director of the Co-Investment Fund and Honeywell & Partners director Irakli Rukhadze will also attend the ceremony.
The Kasrpi plant modernization designing works started in September 2016 and 100 million USD was invested in the project implementation. The project calls for building a dry clinker production line with the aim to lower production costs and grow output.
High-standard filtration system and special device for continuous monitoring of emissions were installed at the plant. As a result, production dust and emissions volume will be controlled in online regime.
The project was implemented with the support of Co-Investment Fund of Georgia and Honeywell & Partners.
