“The reforms taking place in Georgia over the recent years, the changes carried out by the prime minister and his government are a great stimulus for us, as the industrial players on the Georgian market. We have observed how conducting business has been simplified for the international investors in Georgia, and how the bureaucracy has been significantly reduced. It is evident for us that eliminating corruption is a high priority within this context and there will be zero tolerance towards this issue per our internal policies as well. During the World Economic Forum, Georgian PM  participated in the “Strategic Outlook – Eurasia” discussion together with the Chief Executive Officer of VEON Jean-Yves Charlier, the President of Azerbaijan and deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Erbolat Dossaev. Participants discussed how the political changes, structural reforms and technological innovation have been reshaping the region’s strategic outlook, and how the global shifts, national priorities and local trends are changing the socio-economic context in Eurasia. Veon Group international telco and tech company, headquartered in Amsterdam, publicly listed on Nasdaq and on Amsterdam Stock Exchange represented in Georgia by Veon Georgia LLC, developing own personal internet platform in partnership with mobile operator Beeline.
