Investment Inflows to Ajara Grew by 26% in 1H16

Investment inflows to Ajara have increased by 26% in the first quarter of 2016, as compared to the same period of 2015, Ramaz Bolkvadze, Minister of Finances and Economy of Ajara, noted.

“Private investment inflows in January to June 2016 made up 208.1 million USD, including 154.2 million USD foreign investments and 53.9 million USD domestic private investment”, the Minister said.

As to investments in terms of sectors, the power sector maintains the leading position with 49.5% ratio in total private investments in 1H16, the Minister of Finances and Economy of Ajara, said.

According to statistics, the tourism sector ratio in total investments made up 30.1%, the housing sector – 18.4%.
