Hong Kong Business Delegation Visits Georgia Next Week

A Hong Kong business delegation will visit Tbilisi, Georgia from 17-20 March to explore investment and partnership opportunities driven by the free trade agreement signed by Hong Kong and Georgia in June last year and the growing regional cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative.

The delegation, organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), is led by Edward Yau, Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development of Hong Kong SAR government. This delegation comprises some 30 Hong Kong services professionals, including business leaders with interest and expertise in finance, infrastructure development, insurance, legal and accounting, technology, trading, as well as a few start-ups.

Edward Yau, Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development of Hong Kong SAR government will hold a briefing for media on 18 March. Mr. Yau will provide the information concerning the official visit of the Hong Kong business delegation. He will also comment the perspectives of cooperating with Georgia and the existing investment environment of the country.
