The first animal product that will be exported from Georgia to EU market will be wool.
Thus Georgia will be added to the list of the countries from which it is possible to bring in the raw wool in EU.
At this stage, EU has recognized two companies that are wool producers.
As it was stated to “Businessconact” by the representatives of the Georgian Wool Company, the samples of wool are already sent in three European countries.
According to Zaur Kuliev, the demand and interest towards Georgian wool by the EU member states is quiet big.
He also added that in Italy, Sweden and the UK the certificates have been already approved and by next week the final answer will be known.
The total demand of the production from Italy and Sweden amounts 10 tons per month.
“Georgian Wool Company” is located in Marneuli, where 10 persons are employed.
