Georgian Railway excludes hinder in the project funding despite the reduction of cargo turnover in Georgian corridor.
Mamuka Bakhtadze, general director of Georgian Railway has declared about it to GBC. Company’s CEO does not exclude definite reduction and he plans to make the balance by the gained revenues through 2014-2015.
“Decline of cargo turnover has not caused diminish of our fanatical opportunities, on the other side, operation income is increased. We expect definite reduction in 2016, but revenues taken in 2014-2015 have given us financial opportunity to finish each project within terms”, – Bakhtadze declares.
According to him, the renovated design of Tbilisi by-pass project will start in this year, which is already envisaged in the budget. However, it greatly depends on the finish of city’s modernization plan and they are expecting to the final decisions. The company announces big surprise for the customers from summer season.
“This will be another demonstration that “Georgian Railway” should be in the service of country’s economy”, – Bakhtadze notes.
