Georgian Milk Production Increased, Eggs and Meat Production Reduced

The volume of milk production has significantly increased during the year 2015, however, at the same time the production of meat and eggs led to a remarkable reduction.

Based on the data provided by “GeoStat” in advance, in the fourth quarter of 2015, milk production comprised 125.1 million liter. Meaning that there was 0.7% more production compared to the previous year. The production of meat has reduced by 6.9% as it comprised 19 thousands of tons meaning that there was reduction in meat production compared to 2014.

In the country’s economy it was obvious that production in eggs decreased due to the fact that Georgian producers produced 131,5 million eggs, meaning that there were 8.7% less eggs produced than in the 4th quarter of 2014.
