Georgian Blueberry Goes to United Arab Emirates

The first consignment of Georgian blueberry has been exported to United Arab Emirates (UAE) with support of the Entrepreneurship Development Agency of Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia.

This is the direct result of the UAE business delegation’s visit to Georgia in May 2016, when the Parties discussed exports potential enhancement perspectives.

Vanrik Agro Group, which has carried out exports of Georgian blueberry, expects new orders from Arab customers. The company has been founded by the Partnership Fund of Georgia.

In May the entrepreneurship development agency hosted the Arab delegation and introduced Georgian products to the delegation members. As part of the visit, the delegation members were invited to Georgian enterprises to see the working process.

Representatives of Dubai chamber of commerce and industry and Baqer Mohebi trade network met with representatives of 25 Georgian companies from various sectors and discussed future cooperation plans.

The parties discussed perspectives for exports of vegetables, fruits, juices, lemonades, mineral waters and food products. Negotiations have brought real results.
