“Georgian Alloys Group” Plans to Increase Production of Ferroalloys

The company “Georgian Alloys Group” has acquired the ferroalloy plant located in Rustavi in November of 2014.

The enterprise, placed in the industrial zone of Rustavi, has merely two stoves, with production capacity less than 1 t/h. The management decided to add 2 stoves of 5 mgwt. As a result, 4 stoves will operate at the renovated ferroalloy plant.

The plant will manufacture ferrosilicon, ferromanganese and ferrosilicium.

“Georgian Alloys Group” has already submitted Environmental Impact Assessment Report of reconstruction and operation of the ferroalloy plant, the discussion of which is planned on February 29, 2016.

Reconstruction of the plant should start after the company obtains a corresponding permit.
